Guest Speaker Bio

Christine Ohuruogu 

Linguistics BA, 2005 

Christine Ohuruogu is Britain’s most successful female athlete. She competed internationally in athletics between 2003 and 2018, winning 17 major athletics medals and captained the British Athletics team on many occasions. Between 2006 and 2008 she held the Olympic, World and Commonwealth 400m Champion titles at the same time.  

Christine has a degree in linguistics from UCL and is currently training to be a lawyer, having graduated with a degree in law from Queen Mary University of London. She is an established speaker and regularly provides insight into elite performance in sporting competitions. In 2009, Christine was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to sport.
