Guest Speaker Bio

George Clarke 

Architecture Grad Dip, 1999 

George Clarke is an architect, TV presenter and campaigner for charities and housing organisations. He is passionate about the way architecture can transform our everyday lives, aiming to make it accessible for everyone. He has become a household name and the ‘face of architecture’ following the success of Channel 4 programmes such as The Home Show, The Restoration Man and Amazing Spaces. 

He is an ambassador for a number of charities, including City & Country, Maggie’s Centre, the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community and Shelter and he is a trustee for the Foundation of Light, as well as Patron for the Civic Trust Awards and Knight’s Youth Centre. 

George is also the founder of the home building education charity MOBIE (Ministry of Building Innovation and Education). He is the cultural director of the new ecological home development company X Home and a non-executive director of module house builder Urban Splash Modular in partnership with the Japanese manufacturer Sekisui.
