Mouhssin Ismail
Business and Economics Education PGCE, 2008
Mouhssin Ismail is the Principal of the Newham Collegiate Sixth Form (NCS) and Director of Standards (Sixth Form) for the City of London Academies Trust. He completed his PGCE at the IOE in 2008, having previously qualified and worked in the city as a banking and finance lawyer.
His teaching career began at Seven Kings High School in Ilford, as a business and economics teacher and he was appointed the founding principal of NCS, which serves the second most deprived borough in London, in 2014. Following the success of the NCS education model, two institutions have been set up in Islington and Hackney to improve social mobility for students in London.
